Can the small household popcorn maker be washed directly with water?

Small household popcorn makers cannot be directly rinsed with water for the following reasons:

1. Contains electrical components inside
The popcorn maker contains electronic components such as an electric heating device, motor, and switch. Directly flushing with water can cause short circuits, electrical leakage, and in severe cases, it may burn out the equipment or cause safety accidents.

2. Easy to cause rusting of metal parts
Direct flushing can easily cause metal parts (such as heating plates and screws) to become damp and rust, affecting heating efficiency and maker structural safety.

3. Damage to surface coating or shell
Some popcorn makers have coating protection on the outer shell or inside, which may be damaged by high-pressure water flushing, accelerating aging or discoloration.

4. Difficulty in draining cleaning water
Water may seep into structures that are difficult to dry, such as air ducts, bottoms, or air outlets. Prolonged accumulation of water can breed bacteria or mold, affecting food safety.

5. Does not meet the requirements of the instructions for use
The manuals of most legitimate brands clearly indicate "Do not rinse the entire maker" or "Only allow wiping and cleaning" . Violation of this operation may result in the warranty being invalidated.
